GUA-SHA
Gua-sha is an ancient technique that rubs the skin with a specific object until small petechiae are formed.
This technique triggers a complex physiological process, which consists of increasing the local microcirculation, triggering an anti-inflammatory effect.
Unidirectional friction stretches the fascia, helping to release adhesions that lead to restricted movement and pain.
It is the forerunner of modern Graston technique.
